Friday night, David Roddy came up huge when it mattered most for the Colorado State Rams.
Roddy's basket with 6.3 seconds left lifted the Rams over the San Diego State Aztecs, 58-57, at sold-out Moby Arena in Fort Collins.
The hoop enabled CSU to get the win in a game that looked to be well in hand.
The Rams used a 24-9 run in the first nearly ten minutes of the second half to grab a 47-27 lead at the 10:15 mark.
But San Diego State would not go quietly. The Aztecs battled all the way back and took a 57-56 lead on Lamont Butler's three-pointer with 13.9 seconds to go.
But that was more than enough time for Roddy to do this thing and rescue the Rams.
CSU is now 17-3, 7-3 in the Mountain West Conference. SDSU falls to 12-6, 4-3.
Up next for CSU is a game at Nevada on Tuesday, February 8 at 9 p.m. MST.
