The Denver Nuggets had a good road trip.
But the final memory was one they wish were a little different.
In a game in which both teams were missing multiple key players, the Nuggets fell to the Utah Jazz, 108-104.
Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and DeMarcus Cousins all missed the game due to injury and, of course, the Nuggets have been without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. for some time now.
The Jazz were without Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles.
Despite lesser experienced guys playing more minutes and playing out of position, the Nuggets still had a chance to win the game.
They led by one point at halftime and were down by three points heading to the fourth quarter.
Denver battled to tie the game 97-97 before Utah went on a key 9-2 run to go up 106-99 with just over a minute left.
Guard Bryn Forbes led the Nuggets with 26 points on 10-13 shooting. He was 4-5 from three-point range. Monte Morris had 15 points and Will Barton added 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Jazz made it a clean 4-0 sweep of the Nuggets this year.
Denver finished its road trip with a 4-2 record.
The Nuggets get back home to Ball Arena and will take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, February 4 at 7 p.m. MST.
