Avs Beat Buffalo, 4-1, Home Winning Streak Now At 18 Games

It seems like the Colorado Avalanche might not lose again at home this season.

That's because, well, the way the Avs are playing at Ball Arena, they may not.

The Avs made the Buffalo Sabres their latest victim on Sunday, 4-1, for their 18th consecutive home win, fifth-longest in NHL history, and tenth straight victory overall. The ten consecutive wins are tied for the second-longest streak in franchise history.

With the game tied 1-1 midway through the second period, Avs forward Nazem Kadri put home his 18th goal and then 1:48 later, Mikko Rantanen added a power play goal at 13:03 to put the Avs up 3-1.

Goalie Darcy Kuemper continued his streak of terrific hockey, turning away 30 shots to get to 12-0-1 in his last 15 games.
