Avs Get By Wild In Shootout, 4-3

The beat goes on for the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena.

The Avs got by the Minnesota Wild on Monday, 4-3 in a shootout, to win their 14th consecutive home game.

After leading 2-1 after two periods, the Avalanche took a 3-2 lead on Nathan MacKinnon's goal at 16:28 of the third.

But the Wild came back and tied the game 41 seconds later when Kirill Kaprizov got one past Avs goalie Pavel Francouz.

In the shootout, Mikko Rantanen would put home the game-winner past Kaapo Kahkonen.

Fancouz replaced Avs starting goaltender Darcy Kuemper, who left after Wild forward Jordan Greenway knocked him out of the game. Kuepmer initially stayed in the game before leaving at the 10:34 mark of the second period.

Francouz made 25 saves and gave up only two goals to help the Avs get their 25th win of the season.
