Nothing comes easy in conference play.
The Colorado State Rams experienced that firsthand in a 77-72 win over Utah St. on Wednesday night at Moby Arena.
The Rams led 33-24 at halftime but the Aggies would not go away quietly.
CSU trailed 62-60 with just over four-and-a-half minutes to play after Utah St. reeled off seven straight points.
The Rams stayed poised and hit 10 free throws in the final minute-plus to put the game in the win column. CSU finished 17-20 from the free throw line.
David Roddy led CSU with 24 points and six rebounds. Isaiah Stevens went for 22 points. Chandler Jacobs had 11 points, nine rebounds and was 8-8 on free throws.
Colorado St. is now 12-1, 2-1 in Mountain West Conference play. Utah St. is 10-6, 1-2.
The Rams will play at San Jose St. on Saturday, January 15 at 4 p.m. MST.
