Nuggets Blow 25-Point Lead In 87-85 Loss To Clippers

There are many ways to lose a game.

And then there is what happened to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night in an 87-85 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Denver squandered a 25-point lead in the second quarter and saw the Clippers outscore them 32-19 in the fourth quarter.

Needless to say, it was a really rough night at the office for Denver.

The Nuggets built a 41-28 lead at halftime and then used an 18-4 run to take a commanding 59-34 lead with 7:04 left in the third quarter.

But the Clippers finished the quarter by outscoring the Nuggets 21-7 and L.A. was within 66-55 heading to the final 12 minutes.

The Clippers finally took a76-75 lead on Reggie Jackson's three-pointer with5:40 left in the game.

Nuggets center Nikola Jokic had 21 points on 9-14 shooting. He also grabbed 13 rebounds. Aaron Gordon made 11-of-16 shots and finished with 30 points and 12 rebounds.

The rest of the Nuggets combined to go 12-50 from the field and score 34 points.
