Teddy Bridgewater is out.

That means Drew Lock will start at quarterback for the Denver Broncos on Sunday when they face the Las Vegas Raiders.

With Bridgewater unable to play because of a head injury, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio made it official when he spoke with reporters on Wednesday at UC Health Training Center.

Bridgewater suffered the injury in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday and Lock replaced him. He completed 6-of-12 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos 15-10 loss.

Fangio added that if both quarterbacks were healthy, Bridgewater would get the start.

The Broncos are 7-7 and barely alive in the AFC playoff race. The Raiders are also 7-7 and beat the Broncos, 34-24, in Denver on October 17.

Coverage of the game will start at 8 a.m. MST with kickoff at 2:25 p.m. on KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM.

The Broncos selected Lock in the second round of the 2019 draft out of the University of Missouri. He started the final five games of his rookie year and had 13 starts in 2020.
