Nothing like a Saturday afternoon Garden party for the Denver Nuggets.
Riding the strong play of center Nikola Jokic and fowward Zeke Nnaji, the Nuggets topped the New York Knicks, 113-99, Saturday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.
Jokic scored 32 points and added 11 rebounds and five assists. Nnaji put in a career-high 21 points on 7-13 from the field (with a career-best five three-pointers in nine attempts) and hauled down eight rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench.
The Nuggets never trailed in the game. They led 30-24 after one quarter and pushed the advantage to 60-49 at halftime. They pulled away by outscoring the Knicks 32-22 in the third quarter.
The Nuggets are now 11-11 overall and 2-1 on their current seven-game road trip.
