The Colorado Avalanche keeps finding a way to pile up goals. And win games.

The Avs scored at least four goals for the ninth consecutive game in a 7-5 win over the Ottawa Senators on Monday night at Ball Arena.

The win was the fifth in succession for the Avalanche.

Colorado got the offense going early on Valeri Nichushkin's goal 50 seconds into the game. Cale Makar added another one later in the first period.

The teams were tied at two after one period of play and tied at three after two periods before the Avs socred four times in the final period.

Alex Newhook scored the game-winner with 1:33 to go.

Makar scored a pair of goals and forward Nazem Kadri continued his hot streak with a goal and three assists.
