For three quarters, things looked pretty good for the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.
But the Nuggets stumbled in the fourth quarter and lost to the Dallas Mavericks, 111-101.
Denver led 83-79 through three but the Mavericks handled the Nuggets in the fourth, outscoring them 32-18.
A small lineup led the way for the Mavericks in the fourth quarter. Forward Kristaps Porzingis had 29 points and 11 rebounds and guard Luka Doncic added 23 points and 11 assists but those two started the fourth quarter on the bench and the Mavericks quickly outscored the Nuggets 17-6.
Nuggets center Nikola Jokic had a season-high 35 points to go along with 16 rebounds and six assists.
The Nuggets were playing the second game of a back-to-back, having defeated Portland 124-95 on Monday night in Denver.
Denver's five-game winning ends with the loss.
The Nuggets return home to play Philadelphia on Thursday, November 18. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. MST.
