The Colorado Avalanche is starting to roll.
The Avs scored six or more goals for the second straight game and blew by the San Jose Sharks, 6-2, on Saturday night at Ball Arena.
Logan Couture opened the scoring for the Sharks at 3:17 of the first period and it took a bit for the Avs to get going.
Devon Toews and Nazem Kadri each scored a goal in the final ten minutes of the first to give the Avs a 2-1 lead at the first inermission.
From there, the Sharks had no anzswers.
Two more goals in each of the final two periods were more than enough for Colorado.
Samuel Girard finished with a goal and three assists. Kadi had two assists to go along with his goal. Six different Avs players each had a goal, including Alex Newhook, who put home his first of his career in the regular season.
Colorado has scored at least four goals in five of its last six games.
The Avs play at Vancouver on Wednesday, Nov. 17.
