Summer Camp is underway for the Colorado Rockies, who started their official preparation for the abbreviated 2020 Major League Baseball season on Friday.
In a Zoom conference call with reporters, Rockies manager Bud Black said his team reported physically and mentally ready to go.
"There's a great deal of excitement," Black said. "They feel great physically. What these guys have done over these last few months put them in a good physical position to start this."
Black also talked about the roster, the effect of no fans at games this year, the addition of Matt Kemp, the structure of Summer Camp and more.
