It was a stunning performance that leaves the Denver Broncos thinking the future could be bright.

Quarterback Drew Lock got off to a hot start and kept the pressure on in the Denver Broncos 38-24 win over the Houston Texans Sunday at NRG Stadium.

Lock threw three touchdown passes in the first half to lead the Broncos to a commanding 31-3 advantage at halftime. He hit Noah Fant on a 14-yard strike to cap a 92-yard drive and get the Broncos on the scoreboard with 7:27 left in the first quarter.

Lock's eight-yard TD pass to Jeff Heuerman built the Broncos lead to 21-0 at the 11:34 mark of the second quarter. And then he finished off his red-hot first half with a three-yard scoring toss to Royce Freeman to give the Broncos a 31-3 lead with 37 seconds left before halftime.

By the time it was all over, Lock completed 22-of-27 passes for 309 yards with the three touchdowns and one interception.

The Texans scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to make the final a little closer but they never seriously threatened to win the game.
