They hit. They pitched. They played good defense.
Tuesday night at Coors Field, the Colorado Rockies dominated the Chicago Cubs, 10-3, for their second straight win in the series.
Charlie Blackmon led the way offensively, going 2-5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored. His three-run home run highlighted a five-run sixth inning when the Rockies turned the game into a blowout.
Rookie Peter Lambert was solid in his five innings of work, allowing only one run on three hits while walking two and striking out three. He picked up his second win against the Cubs to go along with the one he earned at Wrigley Field last Thursday.
The Rockies won their tenth consecutive home game and are 20-12 at Coors Field this year. Since starting the season 0-5 at home, the Rockies have gone 20-7.
