After a 2-4 road trip, the Colorado Rockies loved being back in the friendly confines of Coors Field.

They started a seven-game homestand with a come-from-behind 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Trailing 4-0 after the Cubs hit three home runs and scored four runs in the top of the third inning, the Rockies bounced right back in the bottom half of the inning.

Charlie Blackmon and Nolan Arenado each hit a two-run homer to tie the game 4-4.

It stayed that way until Ian Desmond unloaded a 486 foot pinch-hit home run in the seventh, the longest in MLB this year according to Statcast.

After the Cubs tied the game in the eighth, Rockies second baseman Ryan McMahon delivered an RBI single in the bottom half of the inning to provide the winning margin.

The game also marked the return of former Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez to Coors Field. CarGo is now with the Cubs.
