The Colorado Rockies were due to swing the bats well.

They did just that in a 11-4 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night at Miller Park.

Nolan Arenado got things started with a three-run home run in the first inning.

After the Brewers rallied to take a 4-2 thanks to a two-run fifth inning.

But the Rockies jumped back up 6-4 thanks to a three-run sixth. Ryan McMahon scored on a wild pitch and Tony Wolters and Charlie Blackmon had RBI hits.

Then the Rockies tacked on four more runs in the eighth. Trevor Story's three-run home run was the big blow.

Arenado added another homer, a solo shot, in the ninth. He was 3-5 with four RBIs. Story drove in three runs.

Carlos Estevez (1-0) got the win in relief.
