Of all people, it was a pitcher that finally got the Colorado Rockies offense going.
Right-hander Antonio Senzatela delivered a two-run single to left field in the Rockies 3-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday at AT&T Park.
It was the first runs the Rockies scored in the three game series. Colorado would another run in the inning on D.J. Lemahieu's sacrifice fly and Senzatela and the bullpen made those three runs stand up.
Senzatela went five innings and gave up one run on five hits while walking only two batters and striking out five.
Chirs Rusin, Scott Oberg, Adam Ottavino and Wade Davis each pitched an inning of relief to help secure the win.
With the Dodgers 5-0 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday night, the Rockies jump back into the lead in the N.L. West, a half-game better than Los Angeles.
The two teams start a three-game series at Dodger Stadium on Monday night, Sept. 17. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. MDT on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
Updated N.L. West standings through Sunday, Sept. 16.
