The Denver Broncos closed the preseason how they wanted to.
The Broncos evened their preseason record at 2-2 after a 21-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals on University of Phoeniz Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Chad Kelly started at quarterback and completd 12-of-19 passes for 126 yards and an interception.
Paxton Lynch played the second half and led the Broncos back from a 7-3 deficit at halftime.
He completed his first nine pass attempts and had 148 yards on 14-of-15 through the air. Lynch threw touchdown passes to Jordan Leslie and Matt LaCosse.
Broncos running back De'Angelo Henderson made his case for a roster spot by rushing for 53 yards on 11 carries.
The Broncos now focus on getting the roster down to the 53-player limit by Saturday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. MDT.
The Broncos open the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 9. KOA coverage will start at 8 a.m. MDT.
