PEOPLE AREN'T GETTING MARRIED FOR REASONS THEY CAN CONTROL I read this column with interest because I am a big fan of marriage and I think on the balance more people are happy married than not. People who say they WANT to be married but aren't say the reason is they can't find good marriage material. People of good character with a strong moral compass to raise children with. Why? The author says it's because of the breakdown of institutions that brought us together, like church, civic organizations, or large family gatherings. But that's not all. We'll get into some of the reasons and I have advice on managing standards appropriately. We ALL have to manage standards appropriately.
