The Colorado Avalanche came out flying and kept the landing gear up for 60 minutes.
When they touched down, they had a 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators to get withing two games to one in their Stanley Cup playoff series.
Blake Comeau scored one minute and 50 seconds into the game and the Avs kept the pressure on. Gabriel Bourque and Nathan MacKinnon added first period goals to give the Avalanche a 3-0 lead at the first intermission.
MacKinnon scored his second goal of the game at 4:25 of the second period to chase Predators goalie Pekka Rinne.
Gabriel Landeskog added the Avs final goal, an empty-netter at 18:24 of the third period.
The two teams play game four of the series Wednesday night at Pepsi Center.
