The Colorado Rockies again broke open a close game late and defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 8-4, on Sunday at Coors Field.
The Rockies scored four runs in the eighth inning, highlighted by Tony Wolters' two-run single. Gerardo Parra finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs annd three runs scored.
German Marquez went 5-and-two-thirds innings and gave up two runs on eight hits, with one walk and five strikeouts.
Elias Sports says it's the Rockies ninth straight without a series loss. That ties the franchise record set from May 21-June 21, 2007.
