The Chicago Cubs struck quickly in free agency, signing former Colorado Rockies right-hander Tyler Chatwood to a 3-year, $38 million deal on Thursday.
Chatwood spent six years with the Rockies and was 34-35 with a 4.18 ERA. Over the last two seasons, he had an ERA of 2.57 on the road.
Chatwood missed the 2015 due to Tommy John surgery.
