Broncos won the toss and deferred to the 2nd half.
Jaxson Dart and the Giants offense started with the ball at their own 35 yard line after the touchback. Cam Skattebo got the first two carries and on 3rd and 4, Jaxson Dart found Daniel Bellinger for a 15 yard gain down the right sideline for an initial first down in the game. A couple plays later, facing a 3rd and 7, Zach Allen swatted the ball at the line of scrimmage forcing a punt from the Denver 41 yard line. The punt went into the endzone and the Broncos offense would get their first crack starting from their own 20 yard line with 12:45 remaining in the 1st quarter.
Unfortunately, for the 5th time this season, the Broncos offense opened their initial drive with a quick 3 and out. Three straight incompletions.
Giants offense started from their own 32 yard but after an 8 yard gain on 1st down, New York was forced to punt for the second straight drive. A fair catch by Marvin Mims at his own 15 yard line would be where the offense would get their next opportunity.
Marvin Mims took a jet sweep over the left side for 13 yard to give the Broncos their initial first down of the drive but after a screen was blown up for a TFL and a short pass to Courtland Sutton, the Broncos would punt it back to New York who would start their next drive from their own 23 yard line.
Dart went back to work with their worst starting field position so far but a huge across the field throw to Wan'Dale Robinson set up the Giants quickly at midfield. Dre Greenlaw levied a huge hit on Jaxson Dart that lead to an incompletion but two plays later, Dart found Daniel Bellinger on a busted coverage for a 44 yard touchdown. Giants took an early 7-0 lead with 6:54 remaining in the 1st quarter.
RJ Harvey stepped out of bounds on a a kickoff return at his own 6 yard line setting the Broncos up deep in their own territory. Marvin Mims got the initial first down of the drive on a screen to the right that he took upfield for 13 yards. Bo Nix was blasted on a sack by Brian Burns a couple plays later and the drive stalled out. The Giants took over at their own 27 yard line after a Jeremy Crawshaw punt.
The Broncos defense fortunately forced a quick 3 and out and got the ball back into the Broncos hands at their own 32 yard line. Great pressure by the defense on that drive.
With the waning minutes of the 1st quarter, the Broncos were facing a 3rd and 6, Bo Nix pass was batted at the line and fell incomplete. Broncos also went 3 and out. Crawshaw punted it back to New York, who would start their next drive from their own 18 yard line.
Giants got a couple of quick first downs and were quickly at midfield. Daniel Bellinger caught a 29 yard wide open pass and the Giants were in field goal range. Bellinger dropped his next target in the end zone. Nik Bonitto jumped offsides on 3rd and 6 allowing the drive to continue. Dart with a QB sneak spotted the ball short of the line to gain but then ran it again and got it on the 2nd attempt. A false start seemed the give the Broncos a window into holding the Giants to a field goal but Cam Skattebo took a screen pass to the house for a 13 yard touchdown. McAtamney missed the extra point but the Giants extend the lead 13-0 with 8:46 remaining in the 1st half.
Bo Nix got things going with a short pass over the middle to Nate Adkins for 15 yards and the Broncos were at midfield. On 3rd and 3 from the Giants 42, Nate Adkins dropped a pass in the flat. Bo Nix design run got the first down. Bo Nix hit Marvin Mims in the hands in the end zone on a deep shot but he couldn't hold on. On 3rd and 9, Bo Nix found Courtland Sutton on a crosser and he took it upfield for a 32 yard gain...1st and goal for Denver. A pass targeting Garett Bolles in the end zone was tipped at the line and on 4th and goal from the 2 yard line, Sutton caught a screen pass that only gained 1 yard. Turnover on downs.
The Giants from their own 1 yard line facing a 3rd and 9, JaQuan McMillian got called for pass interference giving the Giants an opportunity to keep their drive going. The drive would stall as the defense came on a blitz on 3rd and 5 and the pass fell incomplete. Broncos would get the ball back after the punt with 1:04 starting at their 24 yard line.
The Broncos had an illegal shift and Bo Nix was sacked by Brian Burns to end the first half.
Starting with the ball, the Broncos got their initial first down on a pass to Sutton along the right sideline. A beautiful pass to Franklin down the left sideline that should've gone for a big gain was knocked out of his hands and then on 3rd and 5, Nix took a deep shot that was well over the head of Troy. Broncos punt for the 5th time and the Giants got the ball for the first time in the 2nd half at their own 15 yard line.
Giants aided by a pass interference call against to start the drive and then a facemask penalty on 3rd and 12 got the Giants got into Broncos territory. Dondrea Tillman came up with a huge sack to back New York out of field goal range and the pass on 3rd and 18 fell incomplete.
Bo Nix fumbled the option play on 1st down and the drive didn't improve much from there as the Broncos quickly went 3 and out, punting it back to New York who would have terrific field position starting their next drive at their own 41 yard line with 6:04 remaining in the 3rd quarter.
The Giants didn't waste the opportunity and Tyrone Tracey busted a 31 yard touchdown run right up the middle to blow the game open. 2 point conversion failed, Giants extend their lead 19-0 with 2:41 remaining in the 3rd quarter.
The Broncos got their initial 1st down of the drive with JK Dobbins and then JK burst a 32 yard gain to get Denver deep into New York territory. Bo Nix hit Troy Franklin for a 16 yard reception to get the ball into a goal to go situation and then on 2nd down, Bo Nix pass was batted up into the air and Troy Franklin came up with the touchdown catch. 2 point conversion was good to Sutton and the Broncos cut into the Giants lead 19-8 with 14:08 remaining in the 4th quarter.
Robinson and Skattebo got the first two 1st downs of the next drive as the Giants worked into field goal range. The Broncos got a TFL on Tracey and then a delay of game penalty backed them up to a 3rd and 17, Jaxson Dart's pass to Wan'Dale Robinson deflected up in the air and Theo Johnson grabbed it in stride and took it to the house for a 41 yard touchdown. Giants lead 26-8 with 10:14 remaining in the game.
Broncos put together a 13 play, 74 yard drive that saw Bo Nix do a lot of work with his legs including a 21 yard scramble and eventually a 7 yard touchdown run. The 2 point conversion was good, and the Broncos cut into the lead 26-16 with a little over 5 minutes remaining in the game.
On 3rd and 5, Jaxson Dart threw an INT right to Justin Strnad and the Broncos were in business inside the Giants 19 yard line. A few plays later, Bo Nix found RJ Harvey in the flat for a 2 yard touchdown. extra point was good and the Broncos pulled within 3, 26-23 with 3:51 remaining in the game.
Jaxson Dart's 3rd down pass on the subsequent drive was incomplete and the Broncos had a chance to tie or take the lead starting at their own 32 yard line with 2:42 remaining. Bo Nix bit Marvin Mims down the right sideline for a 31 yard pass and then Evan Engram for 20 before running it in from the 18 yard line to take the lead!!!
Giants had a lot of time left and on 4th and 19, Dart completed a pass to Robinson for 18 but a roughing the passer penalty gave them a first down. A few plays later an absolutely brutal DPI was called against Riley Moss at the 2 yard line. Jaxson Dart ran it in for a touchdown and retook the lead 32-30 as they missed the extra point. 37 seconds remaining.
Bo Nix hit Marvin Mims for a 29 yard gain and then Courtland Sutton for 22 that got the ball all the way down to the Giants 21 yard line. Wil Lutz knocked the 39 yard field goal through and the Broncos won a stunner 33-32!!
