Aurora to Count Homeless Population Next Month

Aurora is looking for volunteers to help assist with counting their homeless population.

"The Point-in-Time (PIT) is an annual count of people experiencing literal homelessness, and we do it on a single night in January," said Emma Knight, Aurora's Manager of Homelessness.

The volunteers can choose to either help with the count or survey those living in their vehicles.

"I think this is an amazing opportunity for people who want to know more about homelessness and to go out and talk to folks and volunteer and see what it's like with their own eyes ," Knight said.

Anyone interested in volunteering can visit AuroraGov.org/Volunteer.
