Nikola Jokic had 17 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists but all of that was not enough in the Denver Nuggets 109-97 loss to the Chicago Bulls Monday night at the United Center.

All five Nuggets starters scored in double figures but the Bulls got better production out of their starting group.

Zach Levine poured in 32 points; he was one of three Bulls starters to reach the 20-point mark. That balance helped Chicago overcome the absence of guard DeMar DeRozan, who missed the game after entering health and safety protocols.

The Nuggets jumped out to a 27-18 lead after one quarter but the Bulls had the deficit down to three points by halftime and they pulled away in the second half by outscoring the Nuggets 63-48.

The Nuggets have lost eight of their last 10 games and are 2-2 on their current seven-game road trip.
