"No Silver Linings" In Nuggets 119-100 Loss To Trail Blazers

This losing thing is getting really old, really fast for the Denver Nuggets.

The Nuggets lost their fifth straight game on Tuesday, falling to the Portland Trail Blazers, 119-100, on Tuesday night in Portland.

"We got our ass kicked again," Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said. "We lost by 19 points on the road. There are no silver linings. There are no moral victories. There's nothing to feel good about. We lost five games in a row. End of story."

Portland led 33-27 after one quarter but the Nuggets came back and led 49-48 with 3:35 left before halftime.

That's when Portland took control.

The Trail Blazers closed the half on an 18-3 run and were up 64-52 at halftime.

Jeff Green led the Nuggets with 24 points. Denver was again without standout center Nikola Jokic, They also lost forward P.J. Dozier to a knee injury in the first quarter. He did not return to the game.
