Lakewood police are investigating a murder on South Coors Circle. Police were called to a home on Tuesday afternoon. Friends of a missing person arrived at the home to find a 45-year-old woman dead. Police says it appears Hilary Engel had been strangled. Yesterday, police arrested Karl Bemish, 51, in southern Colorado. Bemish is being held in the Las Animas County jail pending transport to Jefferson County. He's expected to be charged with first-degree murder in Engel's death.
