New Year Brings New Marijuana Laws

This new year introduces two new marijuana laws in Colorado. One would allow for "hospitality sites," where people could gather to consume marijuana in a public place. The other would allow for marijuana to be ordered and delivered to a person. Both new laws allow cities to decide for themselves whether to implement the laws. Denver Department of Excise and Licenses spokesman Eric Escudero says because marijuana is a cash-only industry, the delivery option would have special safety considerations.

There is no date yet for when the decision on these two new options for marijuana in Denver will be made.
