Colorado Parks and Wildlife says a deer raised by people became aggressive last weekend. After a couple of encounters, the deer showed up near the home of a family in Franktown. It appeared friendly as it was wearing a fluorescent orange dog collar. A woman reached over a fence and touched her finger to the deer's nose. The buck attacked and then her husband got involved. The deer gored the 56-year-old man and dragged him around the yard . His wife went inside and called 911. A Douglas County Sheriff's deputy killed the animal after if displayed aggressive behavior towards him.
CPW believes the deer was hand raised by people. Officials warn that wild animals are unpredictable. It's illegal to possess wildlife in Colorado. You cannot remove a wild animal from the woods and take it home.
