Mike Coffman says he has been elected Mayor of Colorado's third largest city, Aurora. The latest tally in the close race shows Coffman 214 votes ahead of Omar Montgomery. That's ourt of more than 75,000 ballots cast.
Coffman declared victory in from of Aurora City Hall. Montgomery has yet to comment on the outcome of the race.
The former Congressman vowed to lead in a non-partisan way and says he is honored to serve one of the most diverse cities in America.
Coffman says his priorities will be solving transportation issues, creating jobs and reducing Aurora's crime rate.
