PETA Billboard: "Go Vegan This Thanksgiving"

The animals rights group PETA wants people to go vegan this thanksgiving. It's placed a provocative billboard in several major cities including Denver.

The billboard at South Colorado Blvd and Florida features the face of a turkey. It says "You can live without that turkey leg. I can't. Go vegan."

PETA claims 44- million turkeys end up on Thanksgiving tables in America every year. The group says turkeys are "gentle young birds who don't deserve to be strung upside down when they are slaughtered for a fleeting taste."

PETA says it is calling on "every kind soul to explore vegan dishes this thanksgiving and celebrate life."
