Colorado Democrats staged a bus tour through the Metro Area on Monday looking to drive women voters to the polls. Political surveys show a gender gap with women strongly supporting Democrats over Republicans. Women are a large voting group in Colorado known to swing elections. Since 2008, at least 52 percent of Colorado voters have been women.
At one rally near a voting center in Denver's Park Hill, Lt. Governor Donna Lynne and former State Treasurer Cary Kennedy were among the speakers. After the speeches, the women attending the rally marched with their ballots and deposited them into a secure drop box at the Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center
