A Denver jail inmate allegedly attacked a deputy Monday, injuring him and sending him to the hospital. District Attorney office spokesman Ken Lane says Cether Watkins, 25, is accused of hitting the deputy over the head with a plastic bin, and then choking the deputy. The deputy has since been released from the hospital. Watkins was in jail for the alleged robbery of a Starbucks.
