2nd Annual Breakfast Burrito Day Set for Saturday

Mark your calender's, breakfast burrito lovers.  On Saturday, Oct. 13, Santiago's Mexican Restaurants will sell breakfast burrito's for just $1.25 in celebration of Denver's 2nd annual "Santiago's Breakfast Burrito Day," as proclaimed by Mayor Michael Hancock.  The celebration is meant to recognize the impact the City of Denver has had on blending American and Mexican cultures and on distinguishing one of the most-celebrated breakfast foods on the Front Range.

To commemorate the holiday, Santiago’s is throwing back its price for breakfast burritos on Oct. 13, to the same price as when the business first opened its doors in 1991. Also on Breakfast Burrito Day, each of the 28 Santiago's locations will serve breakfast burritos all-day long, from opening until closing.

“It’s going to be a great day to celebrate our customers, as well as our history and roots in Colorado. We had so much fun last year, and we are grateful for the excitement and anticipation from the Mayor’s recent proclamation,” said Rachel Wells, second-generation owner of Santiago’s. “Breakfast burritos are an important part of Denver’s ‘flavor’ and food scene."

Customers are limited to five breakfast burritos per order at the throw-back price.

Santiago’s will donate 2 percent of all sales on Breakfast Burrito Day to Santiago's Charity for its annual campaign. Since launching in 2003, Santiago’s has donated more than 1.1 million dollars to Colorado-based, family-focused, grass-roots nonprofits that have a direct impact on children’s lives.
