A person was killed after being hit by at least one vehicle on westbound I-270 Early Thursday morning, according to the Commerce City Police Department. As a result, I-270 will be closed through the morning rush.
"We expect an extended investigation on 270," Commander Robert Rentfrow said. "We don't expect that to be open before or during the morning rush hours."
I-70 to York Street is closed, along with I-270 Westbound, including the on-ramps at Quebec and Vasquez Blvd. Detours are in place.
