Work Starts Today On I-25 South Gap Project

Work starts today to unclog one of the most congested roadways in Colorado.  Crews will kick off construction on the I-25 South Gap Project between Castle Rock and Monument.  It includes adding a toll lane in each direction along the 18-mile stretch.  Plans also include widening the shoulders and building four wildlife underpasses.  Construction is expected to take around three years.  CDOT will be updating drivers this afternoon on how the project will impact the route.
