Shocking revelations in the case against Chris Watts, in the death of his family last week in Frederick. In his arrest affidavit, Watts admitted to police that he strangled his wife, Shannan. But Watts told police he did so after flying into a rage when he found Shannan actively strangling their daughter, Celeste, and finding their daughter Bella "sprawled" out on her bed and blue.
The arrest affidavit also says that Watts admitted to having an affair with a co-worker, which he had previously denied. Watts told police that he and his wife had been discussing separation.
Watts told police that he loaded the bodies of his wife and daughters into his work truck and took them to an oil work site. Watts said he buried Shannan near two oil tanks and dumped the bodies of the girls inside nearby oil tanks. Investigators found a bed sheet in the field near the oil tanks. It matched the pattern of several pillow cases and a top sheet found in a trash can at the Watt's residence.
