Dancing FBI Agent in Court

The dancing FBI agent who did a back flip at a Denver nightclub and accidentally shot a  man when his gun fell on the floor has had a second court appearance.

Chase Bishop, 29, waived his preliminary hearing and his lawyer indicated a plea bargain may be in the works. Bishop's next court date has been set for August 21st.

A spokesman for the Denver District Attorney says toxicology tests did not merit any additional charges against Bishop who is currently facing a second degree assault charge. The actual toxicology report won't be released until the case is adjudicated.

A cellphone video shows Bishop, who was off-duty,  partying at the Mile High Spirits Distillery last month.  He does a back flip on the dance floor and his gun flies out of its holster. As Bishop grabs the gun it goes off and a bullet strikes another patron in the leg.

The judge hearing the case says Bishop can continue to carry his gun on and off duty.

The FBI is monitoring the case but hasn't made any comments about it.
