A rolled tanker-truck at I-25 and Park Avenue caused the closure of I-25 northbound Thursday morning.
CDOT closed the highway at Speer Avenue because the truck spilled fuel.
"We have a commercial vehicle tanker on it's side as well as a multi-vehicle accident," C-DOT's Stacia Sellers said. "The tanker is leaking fuel so we expect extremely lengthy delays during the morning rush."
"This is causing a nightmare downtown," KOA News Radio Traffic Reporter John Morrisey said. "The best detour out of downtown is Speer to Federal to I-76 back to the highway."
