The judge who presided over the Aurora theater shooting trial will become a justice on Colorado's Supreme Court.Governor Hickenlooper has appointed Judge Carlos Samour, Jr. to the high court.Samour's famil.y came to Colorado from El Salvador when he was just 13 years old. His father had been a judge who refused to do the government's bidding, and the family fled the country.Samour fills a vacancy on the court, created by the retirement of Chief Justice Nancy Rice.
