Study: Marijuana Use Could Be Bad For Your Health

An increasing number of studies is showing the hazards that may be associated with using marijuana.  Dr. Christian Hopfer, a Colorado psychiatrist leading a national study on the drug says smoking marijuana a few times a day causes memory loss.  The American Lung Association reports marijuana smoke has many of the same toxins and cancer-causing agents as tobacco smoke.  The Highway Loss Data Institute says there are nearly three times the number of car accidents in states where marijuana is legal.  Additionally, a 2015 Yale School of Medicine study found that marijuana use makes a person two-and-a-half times more likely to abuse prescription opioids.
