The Supreme Court Nominating Commission has sent the names of three candidates to Governor John Hickenlooper to fill a vacancy on the State Supreme Court. The vacancy was created by the retirement of Chief Justice Nancy Rice. The Governor now has 15 days to appoint a new justice.
The candidates are Maria Berkenotter of Boulder, Karen Brody of Denver and Carlos Samour, Jr. of Lonetree.
