After taking part in the annual wreath laying for National Peace Officer's week, Colorado Senator Cory Gardner said he's co-sponsoring a bill to help, police departments to acquire the latest in high tech body armor.
Most department's do not have armor that can stop bullets fired by rifles and some small departments can't afford to buy armor. Gardner's bill would set up a grant program to help police departments across the country get the armor they need to protect those who serve and protect us everyday.
