High Winds Cause Damge

KOA listener Bill Hitz took this picture of a piece of a silo that blew across a field in Wiggins, Colorado and ended up resting against a telephone pole. He says the wind along I-76 is so strong, you can barely stand up. 

There are widespread reports of wind damage across including a portion of the roof at the DCPA in Denver that may have blown off. Numerous power lines have been knocked down across the Metro Area.

A winds gusts of  83 miles an hour was reported near Rocky Flats. NCAR in Boulder reported a gust of 69 miles an hour. A 67 mile an gust was reported in Brighton.   The  high winds have caused DIA to stop all incoming and outgoing flights.
