UPDATE: Seven homes burned in Castle Rock

High winds played a major role in a fire that impacted seven homes in Castle Rock's Meadows neighborhood.  The fire started in a home in the 4800 block of Foxtail Drive.  A spokeswoman for the Tow of Castle Rock now says the fire spread to six additional homes, some of which where on the neighboring street of Silverlace Drive.  Two of the homes were a total loss, the other five sustained minor to moderate damage.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.  No one was hurt, however two dogs are missing from the first home.

At the same time as these home burned, a wild fire scorched less than acre south of Castle Rock, near Tomah Road.
