Surgeries are expected to resume today at Denver's Porter Adventist Hospital on a limited basis. They've been shut down for about a week after a massive breach of sterilization was found. State health officials say a number of patients who underwent orthopedic or spinal procedures in the last 22 months have developed infections, but it's unknown if they're linked to the breach. The hospital instituted a number of changes as recommended by the state Department of Public Health and Environment. Patients had been warned about a low risk of possible exposure to hepatitis or HIV.
