State Treasurer Walker Stapleton tells KOA Newsradio he has the grass roots support needed to qualify for the Republican primary race for Governor. He must get 30 percent support at this weekend's Republican State Assembly to make the ballot. Stapleton says he has support from close to 60 county commissioners and has done well through the caucus process. On Tuesday, he dropped his petition bid to make the ballot after learning a circulator working for the signature firm he hired may have violated state law.
