Broncos defensive tackle Adam Gotsis was arrested on a rape charge in Atlanta last week. A woman he met at a party five years ago claims he raped her at his home on March 9, 2013. She claims the 6'5 , 295 pound Gotsis overpowered her. At the time, Gotsis was a player on the Georgia Tech football team.
The woman didn't come forward until February 1st of this year.
Gotsis turned himself into authorities and was booked for strong arm rape. He was released from the Fulton County jail after posting a $50,000 bond.
The Broncos say they were aware of the arrest and reported it to the NFL. The team also says no determination has been made whether any charges will actually be filed.
