With today’s closure of the last remaining smoking lounge, Denver International Airport is now 100-percent smoke-free inside.
The Smokin’ Bear Lodge Smoking Lounge, located in the center of Concourse C, closed due to the end of its lease agreement. It will eventually be replaced with a new restaurant following a remodel of the space.
Designated smoking areas at the airport are now located outside the Jeppesen Terminal. Smoking outside of designated areas, including the use of e-cigarettes, is prohibited on airport property.
In becoming smoke-free, DIA joins more than 600 other airports nationwide as a 100-percent smoke-free facility, according to the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
