THE DETAILS OF RCV IN ALASKA I'm super mad at myself for not reaching out to someone in Alaska to talk about the realities of Ranked Choice Voting before now. I had a long conversation with Alaska State Senator Mike Shower (I called him Storm because of the mental disorder I have about names) the other day and asked him to come on the show today to talk about the realities of what Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) looks like in practice. Though I am STILL IN FAVOR, this is going to be a heavy lift if it passes because voters don't seem to be smart enough to figure it out. I'll let him tell you at 2pm.
JENA GRISWOLD IS INCOMPETENT And I have to give Kyle Clark a lot of credit for this interview with Griswold asking very pointed questions about how her office posted a document with a hidden tab containing the passwords to voting machines in the state on her website. But it gets worse. Instead of immediately notifying Clerks across the state about the breach, she chose not to let them know. The good news seems to be that these passwords alone are not enough to get into the machines, but it certainly does undermine the notion that the Secretary of State's office is ensuring a safe and secure election. It was interesting to see her get testy when asked why her leak was different than Tina Peters (it is actually very different) and again when Clark presses her on the mistakes her office has been responsible for. It's hard to believe that we are the "gold standard" with this sort of incompetence at the top of the office in charge. Just saying. Someone asked Grok AI on X what would happen if the BIOS security passwords were breached and it's very scary, though we already have some of the redundancies in place to prevent a more serious hack. My question is how does Griswold keep her job? I sure hope her political career is over after this because she doesn't need to be in charge of anything.

BIDEN CALLS TRUMP SUPPORTERS GARBAGE AND CNN CAN'T SPIN IT FAST ENOUGH Hooboy this is rich. During Kamala Harris's big speech, Joe Biden was trying to push back against the comedian at a Trump rally who equated Puerto Rico with a floating island of garbage. In doing so, he said this:
Yikes, this is very reminiscent of Hillary's "deplorables" comment that showed how she really felt. Luckily, CNN was ready to rush in to tell you that Biden is just an old man best used on the trail eating ice cream and kissing babies, not actually talking. Watch this and recognize that Scott Jennings is a national treasure.
When Jennings asked why Joe Biden was sitting behind a laptop on the biggest night of Kamala Harris's campaign when she was trying to make the case for voters in the first place I had to laugh because it is so patently obvious now he wants her to lose. THAT is the man Joe Biden is, he is petty and small and this may help Trump back into the White House and I think that is what Biden really wants now to punish his party for throwing him out. Trump already responded.
He wants her to lose and if you look at the news cycle this morning there is VERY little about Kamala's big anti-Trump speech (mostly because there was NOTHING new in the speech to report) and very much about the old cranky man's comments. Heh. This is what you get for stabbing the Big Guy in the back, Democrats.
HOW LOW ARE THE GOALS FOR THE DENVER PUBLIC SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENT? Because they must be on the damn floor for him to get a big fat bonus when his kids can't read or write or do math on grade level. Check out student performance here, but note that an improvement of .3% is being heralded as success for students in grades 3-8 while glossing over the fact that 60.3% of those students can read on grade level and black students fell even FURTHER behind. WTF? How does this guy deserve an extra 17 grand as a bonus?? Look at math to see that 68.8% of students are NOT on grade level, and Science is even WORSE with 73.9% of students below grade level. THIS is worthy of a bonus? My goodness DPS is run by people who have zero expectations for kids, which means they will not be ready for college or life. This is shameful. Raise the standards and if he doesn't like it, he can find another big fat paycheck for doing nothing somewhere else.

THE SUPREME COURT SHOOTS DOWN THE BIDEN ADMIN AS they tried to prevent Virginia from following it's own laws (passed and signed by Democrats) designed to keep non-citizens from voting. The Biden-Harris admin sued to stop them from purging non-citizens from the voter rolls, but the Supreme Court said Virginia was okay to do it.
